that she runs her library, catering to the most exacting demands from readers in search of a first edition, a title or an exotic subject.
Laurence Veyrier draws upon her unstoppable love of words to supply the 600m2 of the Librairie de l’Avenue - which she runs with her father - with literary works. “I’m always learning. Conversations with readers allow for the discovery of surprising subjects, understanding a period of history, gaining another perspective on things...” Here, second-hand books coexist with collector’s works in a vast celebration of the freedom of thought. “We maintain an anti-censorship approach and are terribly attached to transmitting knowledge.”
