Chorro retains her taste for the world of the imaginary and finds herself in perpetual search for a treasure to be
possessed, cherished and then passed on. “This job is situated half-way between purity and the animal instinct.” In her clothes and fashion accessories boutique - whose window displays are carefully reconsidered every other month - costume makers, decorators and dress makers jostle in search of some rarity dating from the 18th century or the 1960s, yet it is the originality and the femininity of 19th century clothing that she finds delightful. “These are very sophisticated items made of fantastic materials, but what’s most important to me is the garment’s history, the conversation unravelling with the person buying it.”
