DANCING, SINGING,ACTING
He was born in Strasbourg, the concrete encounter with dance takes place in high school. Then he tooks lessons at the Strasbourg Dance Academy and took his first steps at the Strasbourg Opera in "Tristes tropiques, Rigoletto, Tarare".
In 1993, he formed a duet piano & voice named "Black & White" with musician Jean-Pierre Quinquennel with a repertoire bringing together Duke Ellington, Cole Porter and Georges Gerschwing.
Fan of musicals, in 1995, he created his first show "New Jack Time". Full house performances in one of the most prestigious theaters in Strasbourg. He signs the compositions, the choreographies and the staging.
FRENCH & INTERNATIONAL STAGES
It was in the musical "Joséphine Backer" that he landed his first role. The director and choreographer is Jaime Rogers, former dancer of "West Side Story" the film and choreographer of Fame and Michael Jackson. In 2007, he interpreted Thibald with emotion and power in the musical "Romeo and Juliet" by Gérard Presgurvic and Redha in South Korea. He also plays several charismatic characters in "Swinging Life" by Valéry Rodriguez. Finally in 2015, at the Folies Bergères, he played among others Cab Calloway and Michael Jackson in the musical show "The Black Legends" by Valéry Rodriguez.
From 1996 to 2000, he was a chorister of several big names in French song: Nicoletta, Gérard Lenorman, Carole Frédericks or even Michel Jonasz. William Saint-Val takes lessons with Richard Cross (vocal coach of Annie Lennox, Maurane, Michel Polnareff etc) and he was one of the choristers of Céline Dion and Mariah Carey. Then he is also in duet, with Clyde Wright (singer of the "Golden Gate Quartet"). Finally he established his position as a soloist in the “Gospel for 100 voices”.
He is a dancer and singer in an unpublished work by Duke ELLINGTON "A Drum Is a Woman" at the Théâtre National de Chaillot directed by Jérôme SAVARY and Orchestrated by Claude BOLLING.
Throughout his career, he has performed for private events such as royal receptions for Queen Rania Al-Yassin, The royal family of Morocco and corporate evenings for L’Oréal, Dior etc.
CREATION
In 1998/2000 he signed an album with his own songs at EMI and in publishing at Universal. In 2009, he co-wrote with songwriters Philippe Missir and Alain Goldstein (Johnny Halliday, Françoise Hardy, Michel Delpech etc) his first album "Chaviré". It is an album of French songs, tinged with soul music and Latin sounds with which he opens for Lara Fabian's concerts. He’s also a composer on musical projects such as Muriel Hermine's "FREE DOM".
Inhabited by a desire to recreate a new show, driven by his love of the scene, he launched his project to create the musical review "C’est si bon!" coming up soon on stage...
Qui est-il ?
DANSE - CHANT - COMEDIE
Il est né à Strasbourg où la rencontre concrète avec la danse se fait au lycée. Il prend des cours à l’Académie de Danse de Strasbourg et fait ses premiers pas à l’Opéra de Strasbourg dans «TRISTES TROPIQUES », « RIGOLETTO » et « TARARE ». En 1993, il forme un duo piano/voix « Black & White » avec le musicien Jean-Pierre QUINQUENNEL où il interprète des chansons du répertoire de Duke ELLINGTON, Cole PORTER et Georges GERSCHWING. Fan de comédies musicales, en 1995, il crée son premier show « New Jack Time » ; représentations à salle comble dans une des salles de spectacle les plus prestigieuses de Strasbourg. Il en signe les compositions, les chorégraphies et la mise en scène.
SCENES FRANÇAISES & INTERNATIONALES
Il décroche son premier rôle dans la comédie musicale « Jazzy Josie be » sur Josephine BAKER en 1996. Le metteur en scène et chorégraphe est Jaime Rogers, ancien danseur de « WEST SIDE STORY » et chorégraphe de « FAME » et de Michael JACKSON. En 2007, il interprète avec émotion et puissance Thibald dans la comédie musicale « ROMÉO & JULIETTE » de Gérard PRESGURVIC et REDHA en Corée du Sud. En 2012, il joue plusieurs personnages charismatiques dans « Swinging Life » de Valéry RODRIGUEZ. En 2015, aux Folies Bergères, il incarne entre autres Cab CALLOWAY et Michael JACKSON dans le spectacle musical « The Black Legends » de Valéry RODRIGUEZ.
De 1996 à 2000, il est choriste de plusieurs grands noms de la chanson française : NICOLETTA, Gérard LENORMAND, Carole FREDERICKS ou encore Michel JONASZ. Il suit des cours avec Richard CROSS (coach vocal d’Annie LENNOX, MAURANE, Michel POLNAREFF etc). Il fait parti des choristes de Céline DION et de Mariah CAREY. Puis il est aussi en duo, avec Clyde WRIGHT (chanteur des « GOLDEN GATE QUARTET »). Enfin il assoit sa position de soliste dans les « GOSPEL POUR 100 VOIX ».
Il est danseur et chanteur dans une œuvre inédite de Duke ELLINGTON «A Drum Is a Woman» au Théâtre National de Chaillot mise en scène par Jérôme SAVARY et Orchestré par Claude BOLLING.
Tout au long de sa carrière, il se produit pour des événements privés tels que des réceptions royales pour la Reine Rania AL-YASSIN, La famille royale du Maroc et des soirées corporate pour L’ORÉAL, DIOR etc.
CRÉATION
En 1998/2000 il signe un album avec ses propres chansons chez EMI et en édition chez Universal. En 2009, il co-écrit avec les auteurs-compositeurs Philippe MISSIR et Alain GOLDSTEIN (Johnny HALLIDAY, Françoise HARDY, Michel DELPECH etc) son premier album «Chaviré». C'est un album de chansons françaises, teinté de soul musiques et de sonorités latines avec lequel il fait les premières parties des concerts de Lara FABIAN.
Il est également compositeur sur des projets de comédies musicales à l’exemple de «FREE DOM» de Muriel Hermine.
Habité par une envie de recréer un nouveau spectacle, porté par son Amour de la scène, il lance son projet de création d’un spectacle musical « C’EST SI BON !» prochainement sur scène...
