LES PUCES EN FÊTE Celebrating the Puces
Chaque année en septembre, les Puces revêtent leurs habits de lumière et investissent les allées, présentant leurs plus beaux trésors à l’occasion d’une fête sans pareil. Si la thématique change – le carnaval de Venise et les mystères d’Asie ont, par exemple, inspiré les éditions précédentes –, l’esprit de liesse demeure le même et donne à l’endroit l’aspect d’un joyeux village. Cet événement d’ampleur offre à un large public la possibilité de découvrir un lieu historique sous ses
plus beaux atours, au gré d’animations préparées par les différents marchés
et rues pucières. Concerts, menus thématiques, expositions... nombreuses sont les occasions de célébrer la vitalité des Puces pendant ces trois jours de fête, de fouiner et, peut-être, de mettre la main sur
la pépite que l’on ne pensait jamais pouvoir dénicher.
Autre rendez-vous annuel au succès croissant, prenant place de fin mai
à fin juin, les rencontres « Un marchand / un artiste » font vibrer les Puces un mois durant. Brocanteurs, antiquaires
et artisans d’art partagent leur passion
et présentent un artiste de leur choix. Peintres, sculpteurs, photographes, poètes et photographes voient leurs œuvres mises à l’honneur et échangent volontiers avec les visiteurs. Parmi les artistes passés par cette manifestation, on compte Anouchka Potdevin, Nicolas Jenneau ou encore Myriam Mechita. Une occasion unique et novatrice de découvrir les Puces avec un autre regard.
In September every each year, the Puces don their suit of lights once more and cover the alleyways, presenting their most beautiful treasures, for a festival without parallel. Even if the theme changes - the Venice Carnival or the mysteries of Asia, for example, have inspired previous occasions
- the jubilant spirit remains the same and imbues the place with the appearance of a joyous village. This major event offers a large audience the possibility of discovering an historic spot with the most beautiful of finery, with shows put on by the various markets and roads of the flea market. Concerts, themed menus, exhibitions... the opportunities to celebrate the vitality of the flea market are numerous and spread over these three days.
One can thus poke around and maybe get their hands on a trinket that they never dreamed of unearthing.
From the end of May to the end of June, the flea market vibrates with “one seller/one artist”, an annual meet-up with growing success. Second-hand dealers, antiquarians and artistic craftsmen share their passion and put forward one artist of their choice. Painters, sculptors, photographers and poets showcase their
work and freely converse with visitors. Among the past artists of this parade are Anouchka Potdevin, Nicolas Jenneau, or even Myriam Mechita. A unique and novel opportunity
to discover the flea market from another perspective.
